Pair of Malmö leather armchairs by Patricia Urquiola for Moroso, 2002

A distinctive pair of Malmö armchairs, designed by Patricia Urquiola for Moroso in 2002.

The design is defined by its low, architectural profile, with broad upholstered side panels extending almost to floor level and a softly curved inner seat. The open rectangular section beneath the front of the seat gives the chairs a visually lighter appearance despite their substantial proportions.

This pair is upholstered in a subtle off-white to light grey leather, a restrained neutral tone that complements the clean geometry of the design.

The Malmö collection is no longer in production, making original examples increasingly difficult to find, particularly as a matching pair in leather.

A characteristic example of Patricia Urquiola’s early work for Moroso, combining a structured outer form with a softer, more relaxed seating profile.

Dxhxl: 86x63x99 cm

Seat height: 38 cm

Good condition with light age-related wear and gentle creasing to the leather, consistent with normal use.
