Set of six Art Deco dining chairs, circa 1930

A distinctive set of six Art Deco dining chairs, most likely Belgian or French and dating to the 1930s.

The chairs are defined by their elegant curved oak veneer backrests with an open geometric central detail, creating a strong architectural presence while maintaining a refined and decorative character. The slightly flared backs, rounded top rails and tapered oak legs give the design a well-balanced silhouette typical of the Art Deco period.

Executed with an oak frame and oak veneer backrests. The seats have been newly upholstered in a rich mustard yellow textured fabric and fitted with new filling, improving comfort while preserving the vintage character of the chairs.

The contrast between the deep stained oak and the vibrant upholstery gives the set a striking yet sophisticated appearance. The chairs work particularly well around an Art Deco, modernist or contemporary dining table, where their sculptural backs can be fully appreciated.

Dxhxl: 54x85x50 cm
Seat height: 47 cm

Good vintage condition with visible signs of age and use consistent with the period, including light surface scratches, patina and wear to the wooden frames and backrests. The upholstery and filling have been renewed and are in very good condition.
