Alfred Hendrickx wardrobe for Belform in Zebrano wood, early 1960s

Elegant mid-century sliding-door wardrobe by Alfred Hendrickx for Belform (Belgium). Finished in striking zebrano veneer, with book-matched sliding doors that emphasize the strong vertical grain. Hendrickx’s signature minimal details are present: clean modernist lines, a slim black recessed plinth, and conical brushed aluminium pulls.
 
Inside, one bay is fitted with adjustable shelves, the other with a chromed hanging rail and the original sliding hooks. The sliding doors run smoothly and underline Belform’s high cabinetmaking quality.
 
Very good vintage condition with light, age-appropriate wear. Subtle surface marks and slight patina to the interior hardware, overall presenting beautifully. Fully functional doors and hardware.
